Honey Lavender Syrup: A Rebirth Spell for Ostara

Spring and new beginnings are upon us. Ostara is the time to welcome spring, plant seeds for new projects and ideas, and allow yourself to rebirth.

Although eggs are excellent for rebirth and new beginning spells, they aren't the only ones. Plus, I tend to like my spells a bit more versatile.

Which is why I love this honey lavender syrup. Not only is it an excellent spell for new beginnings and shedding the old, but it can also be added to drinks, recipes, or whatever.

Yes, this recipe will still taste delicious without transforming it into a spell. However, knowing your ingredients is essential to utilize this recipe to help change your mind, body, and spirit.

Lavender

Lavender's magickal attributes offer us a ton of versatility. This heavenly-scented herb offers us love, protection, purification, happiness, peace, sleep, and more.

For our spell, we are tapping into lavender's powers of attraction to new beginnings and its peaceful presence to clarify the proper steps.

Lavender's power of purification also allows us to remove what no longer serves us and start anew.

Honey

Honey is more than just a sweetener. Its stickiness can help us keep things together through rituals.

In this case, we are using honey to not only sweeten our new beginnings to start on the right foot but to help us stick to the right path and ideas the universe provides us.

*When adding your ingredients, remember to focus on the intention of the ingredient while working with it. (I.E., when adding your raspberries, focus on the intention of joy).

Ingredients

• 1 cup granulated sugar

• 1 cup water

• 1/4 cup lavender buds, dried or fresh

• 1-2 Tbsp honey

Directions

1. Add all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil (Spirit of lavender, may you provide the energy of rebirth for our highest good)

2. Continually stir to prevent burning until the sugar and honey are completely dissolved (Spirit of honey, may you provide perseverance for our perfect alignment)

3. Remove from heat and cover. Let steep for 10-20 minutes, depending on how strong you want the lavender to be.

4. Strain lavender buds from the liquid mixture and add to coffees, teas, whatever you wish! (Through this, I bring in the blessings of rebirth. May the universe surprise me with shedding what no longer serves me and new beginnings so I can be aligned with my highest self. So as it's been, so as it is, so as it may be.)
